Hello Guys!
I have this SSD and the computer cant find it, even when i short it... the LED on the SSD is turning on blue (green when shortet) when i plug it in.
I was resoldering the small controller (asmedia ASM1153E) because its heatet up, but problem is still the same.
Transcend Chip:
P30R68.00
Does enyone have experience with this SSD? Or have an tipps?
Thank you!

Check the power rails for a start in case something is missing what sort of current is being drawn.
ASM1153E is the usb bridge controller, if you have problems at the bridge you may not be getting very far with the ssd itself.

Lardman, Thank you for your answer! How can i identyfie the power rails? The bridge contrroller is heating up a bit.

The power rails are present at each of the inductors, L1, L3, L4, L5, L7, L9, L10.
Test for shorts to ground at those points. If there are no shorts, then test the voltages at those points.
I think U4 may be an e-fuse, but it must be OK, otherwise you would see no LED activity.

No, nothing is grounded... but also nothing gets voltage.... U4 seams to be good.

The LEDs need voltage. This voltage must be coming from somewhere. Moreover, if the LEDs change colour when you short the ROM mode pins (?), then that must mean that the bridge is detecting something, ie both the bridge and flash controller are not brain dead.
If there really is no voltage at any of the inductors, then U4 must be bad. What are the markings on U4 and the other smaller ICs?
