Kingston XS2000

May 26th, 2023, 2:55

Hello guys!

When i plug the SSD to the computer it says that the device is damaged... i found a damaged fuse and i soldered a bridge just for checking (see picture). But its still the same problem. I am not sure if i can work with this on the PC3000 Flash.
Does someone have any experience? Or tipps?

Controller:
SM2320G AB

Thank you!

Doesn't look like that was a fuse to me.

My tip would be never to replace a capacitor with a bridge. Why would you do that?

What is the marking on that IC (and on the others)?

fzabkar, Hi, noted! I wanted to fast check if that was the issue.

If you mean the memory: 4x FH1288UCM1-84

No, I meant the IC next to the "capacitor/fuse/wire link", plus the smaller ICs.

This might be the one.

MT3133, M3tekic, Synchronous Step-Down DC/DC Converter, 2.5V - 6Vin, 3A, 1.5MHz, marking 3133, DFN-8:
https://www.m3tekic.com/filedown.php?file=MT3133_PDS_R0.11_20200130-web.pdf&site=dXBsb2FkLzIwMjIvMDIvMjAyMjAyMTUxNDE3MjQwODEucGRm

I suspect "08" or "80" is probably an LDO regulator.

Then the electronics were most likely OK ... until you replaced a capacitor with a wire.

I am always amazed to see Franc with the level of effort he puts to identify the parts.
Big thanks and hugs to you my friend.
