Eastcoast wrote: Hi all, I have this Samsung in. It looks to be BSY. I can see that it's supported by PC3K v 7.1 and above I think. Can someone help please with confirming short points. I thought it would be lower2 on bottom left but that didn't work. Many thanks Louis Actually, I just measured and the bulk of those pins are approx 1.3v, the closest to top is zero, so it may be at the other end. I'll guess I 'll try it later unless someone knows for sure. |

yes, right, those pins are not for ROM mode, one of them is Vref on the bottom. then idk where ROM mode pins are on this one, perhaps post a pic without label and the other side as well |

I don't have PC3000. I thought it told you what pins to short? |

I was reading on Ace manual about finding Data pins to short but it's BGA and it's not going to be easy without a proper pin out. Thanks for taking a look, but likely going to return this to customer as they are leaving for Germany shortly.

-000L7 is Lenovo, maybe they have behind their service/paywall specs. Unlikely, but who knows? I dumped several datasheets https://files.hddguru.com/download/Datasheets/Samsung/ and maybe they contain the info you're searching on a similar model for this CM/PM871 |

Unfortunately the customer had to collect and take the machine back home to Germany which meant we couldn't look at it further. |
