Customer brought this phone to us and said battery was more than 50% and the phone just shutdown without warning and unable to power up. We investigated the battery and it's fine. No reaction whatsoever when any USB-cable is connected; no charging, no indication, no nothing.

We removed the battery and soldered cables to the connector to be able to use our lab supply feeding the phone with steady 3.7V. When pressing the power button once, about 50mA is drawn and then back to 0mA. Pushing the button repeatedly, power usage goes up to about 400mA but immediately when stopping pushing button, power usage drops to 0mA. Holding the power button makes the power usage go up to about 10mA and then 0mA in an instant.

So it seems there is some kind of life in the phone, but something (a regulator?) simply does not latch itself and makes power-on not possible.

Are there any schematics to buy for an S9 so we could investigate this deeper? Customer's only wish is to extract the photos, so a "one time only"-repair is what we're looking for.

Service manuals (block diagrams, troubleshooting flow charts, component layout), but no schematics:
