I have read that ASM2464PD chipset is fastest chipset while JM is sliding & products are yet to be rolled out. I am looking one enclosure for general purpose logical recoveries having Gen 3X4 speeds Can someone pls. suggest any good models with modest pricing . (buying in india is too expensive due to high customs and shipping which ends up in doubling product costs) Thanks Hi chipsang Those latest chipset based enclosures have not become Mainstream yet and are very expensive. For data recovery slower is the better rule. I use Asus Rogue enclosure its robust & no issues in detection to all models I have connected so far. |

fzabkar wrote: Thanks a ton fzabkar I was looking for exactly the same. As a expert when client brings us already damaged or sensitive SSD ,its our duty to handle it professionally . 45 threads on anadtech has discussed same. Overall we should be able to check smart /health status and both chipset / enclosure should support that function besides 4TB support , Trim and other advanced functons. It should have highly efficient cooling mechanisam as well. What are advantages and disadvantages from using onboard Nvme slot or pci express card and USB enclosure I have read that attaching through USB is advisable for forensic imaging & data recovery. (By connecting ssd in windows envirnoment voids forensic cloning) Pls. advice. It is also clear from the thread that JMmicron is not at all good chipset while RTL & ASM are the best. Thank you. |
