Hi friends
I want to know how to diagnose SANDISK X300 M.2 SATA SSD. It has no detection and I think it has electronic issue.
I have basic electronic knowledge so can check voltages but lack anything about smd and signal tracing etc.
any help will be appreciated.

Is this a clients drive or your own drive you are planning to experiment on ?
I would start to compare measurement from a working identical drive. Maybe check if it IDs in safe mode.

hi pclab
Yes I have checked it momentarily , its not getting heated up. Physical inspection also doesn't show any burn marks.I think something is shorted.
Thanks.

Hi digisupport
Its my clients ssd. I don't have identical one. I have asked client to provide the same as they have similar drives. I have a pc3k-udma only so can't take it in safe mode. I am trying to get schematics also.
Thanks

Perhaps you should outsource these jobs to an electronics technician? I would think there would be plenty such people in India.

If you do find a circuit diagram, please let us know. I would try to help you, but your photo is blacker than Donald Trump's heart.

hi fzabkar
Thanks for your help. Yes photo is not clear ,I will try to give photo. I think since sandisk mcu is not supported we can solve this case if issue is restricted to electronics level only.
I can at least check basic voltages to conclude if we get schematics. I will update once I get it.
