Has anyone checked if this https://www.acelab.eu.com/pc3000-SSD.php#adapt1 (M.2 PCIe NVMe/AHCI SSD & M.2 SATA SSD adapter ) works with ordinary sata port ?

There must be some magic in both the adapter and the base unit too, coz pci-e 1x port requires at least 6 (3x2) lines: a differential clock pair, and 1-1 input and output lanes (differential pairs as well). Sata ports have only 2 physical lanes.
