So i recently i got a strange case that made me thinking.
I recieved a chinese SSD with SM2258XT controller but has chinese NANDS

I plugged the ssd in PC3K for recovery
The loader got through but upon reading the firmware PC3K shows an error that it cannot read chip MBA
I’ve tried every loader, every firmware - its a no go

There would be not much to say if the case was unsolvable. However

I sent the SSD to one lab that has MRT devices

And strangely somehow the case got through. The data got fully recovered

So here is my question???

I heard that PC3K devices are not fully compatible with those chinese devices?? Is it true???

And i heard the lab with MRT Devices said that PC3K has been slow on updates. And the updates werent specific to chinese SSDs. Is that true???

Can anyone acknowledge the above information???
Thanks

Most SSD cases can only be resolved by PC3K, although there are still many cases that cannot be handled by any device. Without a doubt, PC3K remains the best for handling SSD recovery cases. Other data recovery devices such as MRT and DFL have improved compared to the past, but there is still a gap compared to PC3K

Modern drives are becoming increasingly complex, as they strive to outperform PC3K in certain aspects, giving users more reasons to purchase them
