Reset SMART on Samsung SSD

February 7th, 2024, 12:02

Hey folks.
I have a Samsung SSD 750 EVO 250GB that produced errors when the SATA cable was not fitted properly. These have been written to the SMART status. I would like to reset these because they just do not report the real status of the drive (block check runs with no errors).
I know that it was possible in the past to reset SMART status, but actually have no idea if that would work for this drive.

Is that doable?

ATA CRC error count is almost always related to cabling and yet it's not designed to be reset once the issue was addressed.
