I have this SSD drive, however, when we short the SSD it cannot access Safemode, perhaps we are getting confused about short points, any clue will be of great help.

Did you do any basic testing (PMIC, polyfuse) before you started looking for safe mode test points?

I attach the images with the voltages, also indicating that none of the inductors have continuity to ground in case it is of any use.

Those voltages seem OK to me.

The PS6103-29 PMIC has 2 x bucks and 1 x LDO regulator. Therefore, in addition to 0.94V and 1.2V, there should be a third voltage near the IC. If you test the other capacitors, you should find this voltage.

Thanks for the guidance, and is there any clue for the cut lines to enter safemode?

Maybe you could locate the Ready/Busy* pin within the unpopulated NANDs and short this pin to ground during power on?

I'm going to try it, although I see it as complicated as it is not pins but pads, but I am going to look for documentation on the NAND chips to see if it is possible and I will indicate if I achieved something to help everyone.

Some SanDisk SSDs use the R/B* pin of the NAND as a Safe Mode jumper. It is electrically safe to short this pin to ground as it is open drain.

Wow, thanks fzabkar and Lardman, so I guess I should extract the chips, locate the line of these pads, make the short and solder it again?

Just use the unpopulated pads. No need to remove any chips.

Hello, I am writing to update the result, unfortunately the SSD does not enter safe mode so I assume that the problem could be the controller chip since I cannot find any short circuit or components in poor condition in the electronics and I am already out of ideas, If anyone has one, I'd be happy to try it and provide the results.

Try connecting the drive via an PC-3000 Portable Adapter SSD PCIe x16.

I don't understand, the unit is an M.2, what does it tell me is to use an M.2 to X16 adapter and connect the adapter to the X 16 adapter of the PC3000 portable?
