Hi Guys,
I had problem cloning my old 256GB M2 SSD to a new WD Black edition SN730 and the system didn't boot correctly. Since I had only 1 M2 slot, I had to backup on other portable HDD and restore it on the new WD BE. I thought this can be the reason of my problem and since I hadn't M2 SATA to usb 3 adapter, I mistakenly connected my new m2 ssd to data transfer part of my usb 3 to SATA adapter and unfortunately my WD SSD is not detectable anymore. there is no sign of any physical damage or burnt part on WD SSD but the system can't detect any storage is connected.
Do you have any recommendation to make this SSD alive again?

SN730 is NVMe, not SATA.

Thank you for correcting me, my laptop M2 port supports both m2 sata and Nvme and had been booted after cloning to new ssd but blue screen was the problem made me to do mentioned mistake

I'm not sure what you did. Can you provide photos?

Here is the photo of what I did, of course the usb port was connected and a song of new device connection was heard from the speakers but no device or new storage was shown

You have connected your SSD to the 5V and 12V SATA power pins. ((

There are some voltage tests you could if you have a multimeter and proper m.2 adaptor.

I thought 12V power is only on the smaller slot.
Yes I can do voltage check.
Do you have any circuit diagram of this ssd?

Measure the voltages at V1 - V5. (I don't have a circuit diagram for this SSD)

Here you can see the measured voltages and inductances.
It seems the large inductance is shorted.

It appears that U36 is dead or not enabled. Also, most of those components you have identified as inductances are capacitors.

Thank you for checking the measurements, your instructive picture showing V1 to V5 was not loaded correctly for me and I saw just my sent pictures instead. After I found out your demanded voltage measurements I checked the voltages at required places and all the five voltages were zero.
Is there any solution for this condition or it is not repairable?

Sorry, I think I may have identified the wrong end of each capacitor for the V1 - V4 supplies. Your measurements indicate that these voltages are OK. It's only V5 which is a problem.

Can you identify the markings on U36? We need to determine whether the IC is faulty, or whether it is not being enabled.

The U36 was covered by a black coate which I thought it might be resin but I could remove it by nail scratches and the top of IC is like a mirror without any code or sign.
I attached the photo of this part and a document of SanDisk that may help.

In page 22 of the attached pdf a low quality schematic can be seen

I got a photo of U36 chip marking but it is not clear for me, I Will share it with the hope that somebody can distinguish the chip model.

The part markings are "IjA" and "IjL". This suggests that the last character is a batch code or similar.

Or the marking could be "ijx" or "1jx".
