WD Green or Sandisk SSD Plus Voltage injection

October 7th, 2024, 13:56

Hello,

i've BSY drive here, and i'd like to do some tweakings for maybe getting it ready.

at the moment i have 2,75V on NAND.

anyone knows where i can inject it?

and maybe there are some voltage measurements already done - can't find here :)

That's not likely to solve your problem, but look for the inductor carrying the nand vcc.

I'd suggest before you blow the arse end out of something stumbling about in the dark that you warm the nand up to around 100c.

Warming up - cooling down, already tried - does not help. all classic suggestions from Acelab :D

but already had success with some voltage modifications.

the inductor is the left one next Power ic (already made a point to it) - looks like i wired something wrong then :D

They're all next to the pmic  . If you mean L2 did you also break the rail to prevent it backfeeding and solder on the downstream side?

:D yes L2

i hope i soldered to downstream side - but not breack the rail - where to do? that's the input i need i think.

Easy enough to just to tombstone L2 and solder on the downstream pad.
