Hi,

Recently, one of my SSDs (a PNY CS900 240GB SSD) died out. I noticed that in CrystalDiskInfo it shows up as 'SATAFIRM S11'. It would appear that the firmware has corrupted. I decided to open the SSD, and it has a Phison PS3111-S11-13 controller. I wanted to reflash the firmware on, however, to do that I would need to boot the SSD in 'safe mode' by shorting some pins. This is when my problem arrives: I could not find the pins. I looked at others' PNY CS900s, however, my PCB is different. Due to that, I am unable to locate the pins. I have attached some pictures, so if someone knows where the pins are, help would be greatly appreciated.

I do data recovery on these all the time. What firmware flashing tool are you using? You will lose your data doing this. Its probably worn out and useless for repair.

Most often than not, drives that develop such errors are degraded (to say the least), so repairing them would be a waste of time.
If the data is important, well, flashing it would be a great way to get rid of important data.
