Netapp NVMe format

I had some Netapp X4010A's (SED) come in recently that were formatted to 4096 byte sector when they're supposed to be 4160. I was able to format them back to 4160 in parted magic using the command
Code:
nvme format -l 4 -f /dev/nvme0n1
I can do this all day long with Netapp SAS drives that are 512 instead of 520 but having trouble with the NVMe's. When I connect the formatted drive back to my AFF-A800, the drive shows up as unknown and broken with a physical size of 0B. They are running Netapp firmware NA54. The NVMe tools for linux are new to me so I'm still trying to figure them out. If anyone would have any ideas on why these drives can't easily go from 4096 to 4160, let me know. Thanks!
