Hello, I have an SSD that, I suppose, need a new firmware, and I'm trying to fix it using SMI MPTool. But I'm getting this error: Flash Connectivity Test fail (22)/(08.12) Information: (0x22): Flash Connectivity Test fail ======= DLL Error Message ======= (0x08): _SMIPtestFlashConnectivityTest report fail (0x12): FlashID is different with FlashDB ---------------------------------------------------- Selected FlashID = EC,1E,D9,3F,88,CB << FlashID for each Channel and CE >> CH0 CH1 CH2 CH3 CE0 EC,1E,D9,3F,88,CB EC,1E,D9,3F,88,CB EC,1E,D9,3F,88,CB EC,1E,D9,3F,88,CB CE1 FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF CE2 FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF CE3 FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF CE4 FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF CE5 FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF CE6 FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF CE7 FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF FF,FF,FF,FF,FF,FF I can't get what is wrong here and why this error keep appearing. |

Quote: I suppose, need a new firmware Because one day the SSD started to load only in ROM mode, showing as 1GB HDD. Quote: Your type of NAND is not in this tool's database. (Вашого типу флеш немає в базі цього тула.) When I click "Auto" in the memory list, it selects one of the items. And, in the error details - "FlashID for each Channel and CE" match the selected FlashID, so I can't understand what is going wrong. |

You might need to boot into ROM mode. But what exactly needs to be shorted on your SSD? Post the model and a photo PCB to the forum – maybe someone can help. Google searches often help me... |

It is already in ROM mode. It only loads in this mode. Scanning in MPTools shows that it in the ROM mode. I already found needed contacts and connected them - this made no difference, same ROM mode |

And the controller type, what is written on the memory and what it gives when reading the NAND ID - can you guess for yourself? |

Your NAND really isn't in the database... Try it, maybe you'll get lucky:

Thank you! I have SM2258XT, and this, as I see, SM2258 - are they compatible? |

Also, the question. I downloaded a lot of MP Tool versions for SM2258XT, along with the one that you provided. Yours shows flash as K9AFGD8H0A_DDR300. Some memory lists contains this name, but ID is different from mine. While others contains my ID but with different name. Both options throw errors |
