I know this is a long shot but if anyone has a SA backup from this SSD can you please upload it? I just need module 15_cmbecfg

Never mind! It was DC_satacfg. The drive would ID as 137GB and all 48 bit commands abort.
The drive wasn’t having translator issues, its ATA IDENTIFY template in SA module DC_satacfg had corrupted capability words, so LBA48 and UDMA were being advertised as unsupported.
Patching those identify words (83/86/88, plus checksum) restored full 512GB LBA48 addressing and UDMA operation.
Uploading original and fixed modules in case it may help someone in the future.

How did the drive get into that state? It sounds like a problem related to DCO (ATA Device Configuration Overlay), in which case HDAT2 may have been able to restore it.
