a few days ago I found out that when I try to copy a file off my flash drive it reads CRC error, I checked up online and found out that my flash drive is corrupted.
I used windows drive diagnostic and it found no bad sectors, HDDscan also can't find any bad sectors. but it's there, I know it's there.
I tried low level formatting the drive and see if it update the bad sector map and therefore skip it, doesn't help. I tested it by filling up the drive and copy everything, and I still see CRC errors.
is there any thing I can do to make sure the drive skip that bad sector? how do I find the bad sectors? can't I partition the drive to skip the bad sectors?
my final question is this: how did this occur? one thing that came to mind is that I once tried to copy a file to my flash drive but I didn't wait for it to finish and unplug the drive. I also see xp telling me many times that USB port had a power surge every time I plug in my USB drive...
