Post subject:  USB Device not Recognized

Hello!

I have three USB memory stick a 4Gb and two 2Gb, none of them is working.

The message I'm getting is:
USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED
One of the USB attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it.
For assistance in solving this problem check this message
.

I believe this happend when I used a front panel USB port where the internal cable connected to the motherboard were wrongly connected.

I tried most of the HDDGURU Files but none of them can detect the USB.

Is there still any chance of recover?

I'll appreciate any support given.

Many thanks

I'm guessing your miswire was a switching of +5 and Ground. If so, it likely fried at least the controller chip. I'm guessing the memory chips are fried as well, but if you're handy, get the same model USB drive, and either move your memory chips into it, or move the controller IC from it to your bad USB drive. Then, cross your fingers...
