Hi for all who don't know me i'm new using PC-3000 and i am actively working on PC-3000 and want to learn more on how hard disks work. I know i have a lot to learn and if any of you want to point me some learning manual i'll be will to learn.


Stop with the presentation and i'll present my scolarship project for a data recovery agency. Lately i've just started to work on a small encyclopedia of case senario about hard disk failures. I'm still far from reaching a sustancial database because of my lack of expertise in the world of hard disks so i'm working on case senario from now on. It was brought to my attention that different manufactures have different kindd of problems and also that different families of hard disk of the same brand may sometimes have some similar problems. Does anyone know where i can look for those information or even share some of their past experince in the matter.

Or is it impossible to make such a database to start with. Because when i suggested that project to my tutor he disagreed.
