hi
i think you wrote on the wrong session, here is for PC3000 support so if you need to use the nokia cable for terminal in seagate you should try on another place.
I can't help you as i don't use that cable to work.
Bye
Luca

The CA-42 cable comes in all different flavours, each with a potentially different USB-serial bridge IC. The internal cabling is not consistent either, although the pinout of the Pop-port is fixed.

Here is the pinout of a Nokia Pop-port:
http://pinouts.ru/CellularPhones-Nokia/ ... nout.shtml

You need to use pins 6, 7, and 8.

To identify the bridge chip, you could use Microsoft's UVCView utility:
http://www.users.on.net/~fzabkar/USB_ID ... ew.x86.exe

The Vendor ID and Product ID will probably identify the bridge manufacturer, in which case you may find drivers on their web site.

I should add that the Product ID (PID) and Vendor ID (VID) may be visible in the Properties for the device in Device Manager.

A Google search turns up several repositories of USB IDs:
http://www.google.com/search?q=%22usb+ids%22

Here is one that I have extracted from UVCView:
