Data Extractor LBA Map Error Codes

November 15th, 2009, 22:27

Does anyone know what the codes in the DE LBA Map file mean? so far I have the following

0xF1 Sector was read successfully
Sector was read with an ECC error
Sector has been read without CRC control
An error prevented sector reading
0xF3 Sector was skipped during scanning
0xF6 Sector was not read because of readiness loss
Sector has been modified
0XF0 Unprocessed

these are for the UDMA version. the codes for the PCI version are different. any help filling in the blanks would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I found them. opened up a DE map and just put in hex values 0xF0 - 0xFF. don't know why i didn't think of that before. all error codes are as follows:

f1 - Sector was read successfully
f4 - Sector was read with an ECC error
f5 - Sector has been read without CRC control
f2 - An error prevented sector reading
f3 - Sector was skipped during scanning
f6 - Sector was not read because of readiness loss
f7 - Sector has been modified
f0 - Unprocessed

F9 - FF displayed empty white boxes like an Unprocessed sector. F8 didn't even display a box, which was strange.
