Can't access ST31000340AS

Hi.

Patient hdd is ST31000340AS

Hdd initialize fine.

But can’t access after almost LBA 275000000.

Before 275000000, sector access fine.

When I copy in DE, after 275000000 sectors are black cells.

What is problem?

SA or FW?

How can i fix it?

Did you try translator repair before?

Basically you have errors on surface stopping translator load correctly. Defects should be restored back to defect list. Can be done manual only I think, not sure of automatic process for it.

translator failure (m0,2,2,,,,,22) or defective head.

check heads first.
