Hi Guys,
Can anybody please help with a ROM for the following dive
HM500JI , was manufactured on 16/10/2010
2Acc4yeB.d20 was found in the FSI module.
This HDD has a burnt MCU.
I did a hotswap procedure but got corrupted file system and majority of files was also corrupted (Maybe I didn’t copy all required modules).
So I hope that Rom and you, Guys, will help to get data back.
Thanks.

What tool are you using for hot swap and data access?

First, must clarify the ROM situation. It is confusing regarding the problem you are dealing with.
*Look in the UDMA manual and you should see what modules are critical for your model drive.

Dear Labtech,
Ok, I'll try to explain. ROM's gone together with the PCB so as I understand I have two options. The first one is to do a hot swap, but this, it seems, doesn’t work (also the manual doesn’t have any information regarding this Samsung family yet). The second one is to get a compatible ROM and using another PCB get access to data.
Do you have any experience with this HDD model?
Thanks.

Not any more experience than other Samsung models, but same fundamentals apply regardless of support. What I do know is that sometimes they are really picky and tricky to get to work.
Is your donor pcb not compatible enough to get the target drive to work?

Thanks Guys.
Eventually all data has been saved using a hot swap procedure.
