pc-3000 or pc-3000+DE

September 8th, 2011, 15:09

OK, so I already have an Atola Insight and a Bandura so im pretty much sorted for imaging (i think). Im now looking at getting a PC-3000 UDMA so i can move a bit more into the drive repair side of things(after a period of learning of course). Now, my question is, should i get PC-3000 on its own or should i get it with DE or will this just be doubling up on things. Does DE do anything that my Insight cant already do? Will it make my jobs flow better if its all done on the same set of tools? Ive not got a huge workload of repairs so Bandura and Insight keep up fine with the imaging.

thanks for your opinions.

Go for DE, you'll kick yourself later if you don't.

It links in with the PC3000 for many useful features such as Seagate loaders and WD RAM head map manipulation and Samsung head by head cloning etc...

I agree with pcimage, go for the combo! Without DE you will be uncomplete :P

Best regards!

PC3000 without DE is like a car without wheels. Definitely worth the upgrade.

i suppose I'll have to order both then! then a clean cabinet, then some of hddsurgerys tools. This data recovery thing is an expensive thing to learn!

I asked this same question about a year ago on this forum and got the same answer :) There's no doubt that DE is a must have, you'll regret it if you don't order them together.
