need firmware for WD1600BEVT-75ZCT2

Can anyone help me need firmware for WD1600BEVT-75ZCT2
has anyone recovered sa access on one of these drive has faulty mpu so do not have rom data

First of all, which version of FW are you after?

I am guessing you mean that the PCB is dead, right? So...

Secondly, not sure how library FW will help you reconstruct a new ROM for this drive. You need to reconstruct the ROM from the ROM image files on the drive itself.

do not know just firmware as t2 on label see picture may help connot get access to sa donor pcb from ebay think it from wd2500bevt is same chips set

This is the PC3000 section of the forum, you know that?

You have PC3000 UDMA, right?

With respect, it seems a little odd that someone with the tool (and presumabiy a manual, Ace forum access and support) would not know basic stuff like this.

If you don't have pc3000 (or another FW tool) then you won't be able to fix this yourself.

yes do have pc3000 udma just not Had this problem before i would normally supply donor drive but the customer supply new PCB only it he got it from eBay think he tried it on the drive the old PCB is dead sort on 1.2 supply do you know what firmware t2 is been looking on the web it maybe ... Firmware Number: 11.01A11

If the donor PCB is compatible, then you should be able to access the SA. Then follow pcimage's advice regarding ROM regeneration.

the firmware that you send work ok when i released the heads from the disc customer must of tried the pcb
