I Was Just About to buy the same as i had saved money .Then i got a quote .The Portable is As Expensive as UDMA Now And has all facility of udma/express .Barring the ports etc etc

Yes apparently they are giving all current portable owners a free upgrade as well! Just as well, ever since i bought portable its sit in its box after being used about twice.

I'm in doubt also in the purchase of the portable or the UDMA?

The price of the portable is 2300€ and the UDMA is 4000€.
Is the portable really as powerful as the UDMA?

My main goal is to use it for repair the HDD's. For imaging I have DDI3. It should be enough....
Or does the Portable have DE?

pclab, have you called / mailed Acelabs direct for a quote?

The last prices i had (june 2013) break down the price by Device + Data extractor.

Both UDMA and Portable are the same price.

Data Extractor is same price whichever above model you choose.

However, PC3000 Express & Express DE are higher price.

I have asked prices to a dealer in Spain and Portugal and both asked for more (about 800€ more )

I have emailed ACE and got the prices from them and it is as you say.

So UDMA will do best. Can DE be bought after UDMA and be well integrated?

Well, buying pc3000 without DE has been likened to buying a car without a gearbox or steering wheel.

I'm sure the staff at Acelaboratory would be more than happy to advise on a solution to best meet your needs. I've found them to be both friendly and informative.
