[Help] Marvell 88SS1074 SSD locked — RAID 0 issue

July 28th, 2025, 0:21

Hey all,
I’m dealing with a RAID 0 setup using two SSDs:

SSD 1 is completely locked due to firmware (Marvell 88SS1074, BSW2).

SSD 2 is detected just fine, but as expected, I can’t rebuild the array without both drives working.

Anyone here know how to unlock or bypass firmware locks on Marvell-based SSDs?
Any tool, experience, or workaround would be super helpful. I’m using PC-3000 Portable III.

Thanks in advance!

What do you mean with: "locked due to firmware" ?

Due to a firmware issue, the SSD entered a security lock state. This seems to be related to a known bug in Micron firmware that triggers automatic locking under certain failure conditions.

Is this the version with additional NOR memory?
Post a photo of the entire PCB from both sides.

Why did you take the photos in green lighting?
In the second photo, in the upper right corner, there's NOR memory. Could you read it (and the one from the working drive) and post it on the forum?
