Seagate 7200.10 Galaxy

December 14th, 2007, 6:47

Hi Friends,

I've got a Seagate ST3500830A which had the axis jammed.
I could solve this, but now i get this in the terminal:

4096k x 16 DRAM
GALAXY - 1_Disk S-6D 09-22-06_15:48

Buzz HM SFI
!
$HM HM HM HM HM HM HM

Any idea what the SFI and HM mean?

Thanks in advance,

Dobre

HM is Head Mask.
The $ means the drive can't find the servo markers.

Almost certainly the heads are stuffed.
