Hi

NV ram
5-| |-4
6-| |-3
7-| |-2
8-| .|-1

if the the disk is ide then put the disk in safe mode and UDMA will do it by itself. But in case of SATA. u have to remove the PCB when asked. SHOT the 4 - 5 PIN. Press ok when ready. after then put the PCB back on hard disk and Press ok when ready.

Password Gone.

DF :)

this is fairly straighforward when using PC3K UDMA. Let us know if this was successful.

Hi,
Maybe someone can help me with this. I also tried to remowe password from HTS541 (SATA, 2.5inch) and have the same problem. Picture shows to short pins 4-5 and the message says 5-6. However, i tried both ways and failed. I tried to 'operate' on PCB but after shorting pins and pressing OK i get error message 'you might have shorted NV-RAM incorrectly'. I also tried to solder wires on pins so i can short it while PCB is mounted on drive but the result is the same.

Does anybody have any suggestion?
