We are upgrading all our PC3k PC's one by one right now.

Intel i5 33ghz+
4gb
60gb SSD
2tb WD for temp storage
8bay esata raid tower with 8x2tb WD for case data storage
Startech 4-slot esata docking bay for holding DE target clone drives etc..
(need 2x PCI-X E-SATA cards with port-multiplying support for the above)
Win 7 32-bit pro

Work like a dream!!
