I know there are some posts about the portable PC3K and that there are differences between portable and UDMA.

What I'm asking is who already have the portable version, what they can't do, that the UDMA can.

What kind of cases are hard to solve with the portable. I don't need DE, because I already have DDI.

kpeddie recently bought one but has since then bought the PC3000 UDMA + DE a couple months later.

Hi Pclab, you were clear that's why I mentioned you are most likely looking for actual feedback; i.e. from someone who owns it. . I checked email ACE sent me because I had some question on this as well (including addressing specific problem), but it does not say much more than already on their site.

I think that what i'm trying to know is the percentage of drives that someone could repair with the portable version and the percentage of drives that needed to be "repaired" with the UDMA.

What's the ratio of successful recoveries....
