If you upload detailed photos of the boards, I'll try to help you.

that chip has a test/debug port. You might be able to see whats happening on it. Also probably not that chip thats the issue. Do what Fzabkar suggest and upload pic of the board

The difference is in the package code (TBC versus TJC):

https://www.hddoracle.com/download/file.php?id=5485&mode=view

In fact, Ace Lab recommends the JMicron 20330 IDE-SATA bridge.

Similar issue here:

thank you for your time answering Sir

the JMicron 20330 has no soldering point on the back side! is same with the TBC version that i bought! iv already tested the other components on the board with the multimeter !and compared with another pc-3000! they measure correctly!

that is why im pretty sure the problem is the 88SA8052-TJC2 controller! but i cant find it on sale on aliexpress! what about the 88sa8052-nnc2 ? is suitable? looks similar

I saw the -NNC2 version in my searches. I don't have a datasheet, but I'm guessing its pinout would be identical. I really don't see how the extra heat sinking would make a difference, though. If you're worried, you could glue a heatsink to the top of the IC.

Be aware that there are a lot of fakes at Aliexpress.

Does the drive spin up on the faulty port?

thank you for your super fast answer! i tought the soldering point on the back side of the chip are some sort of "grounding"

the drive spins but on the pc-3000 utility STATUS REGISTER status it looks like nothing is connected

you think the 20330, or the 88SA8040-TBC1 will be compatible?

PS sorry for my bad english

I can't say whether they all have the same pinout, but it would be very odd if they didn't. The JMicron chip is mostly the same, but there are some differences. You need to examine that schematic diagram at the HDD Oracle to see what they are. Are you sure that the Spartan chip is OK?

I'm wondering whether the problem is in this IC:

Alternatively, maybe one of the SATA Tx/Rx coupling capacitors is open? You could test this by shorting the ends of each capacitor with tweezers. (However, you mustn't do this if you have also removed the same capacitors on your USB HDD, for example.)

I can't imagine that the problem is in the power section. If there was a problem with that section, then I would think that the drive wouldn't spin.

Does pc3k have ic TPS2590 as mrt?

Maybe this will help you:
https://forum.hddguru.com/viewtopic.php ... le=desktop

Be carefull, if you buy ic from china (example a package that contains 10 units), 5 or 6 of them are often fake or not good !!
After i replaced that ic on ATA1 port of my mrt, power port issue got even worse, but i knew that it could be due to fake ic... so i replace the same ic again and finally mrt port got to work again.

Check the IC's supply voltage? 25MHz crystal clock?

Show me a photo of both sides of each PCB.
