Hello all, I got two similar drives with zeroed out sectors. I got all modules including 190 backed up and heads seem to read write fine. i tried the Ace T2 recovery methods. still could not get any data structured nor RAW. Any Ideas please? Much appreciated.

Hi,
i'm not pc3000 user, i use mrt instead.
Often, when cloning these SMR drives, the process pauses for several seconds before resuming; however, it frequently happens that, upon resuming, the drive clones sectors as if they were zeros (in mrt those sectors are mapped with cyan colour squares). When analyzing the logical content on the destination drive later, you might find that much of the data is missing or that the files won't open.
The trick in these cases is to be very patient and try to limit the number of sectors blocks being read (instead 256 sectors x block i use 8 sectors x block); unfortunately, this significantly slows down the cloning speed, but it is the only solution i have found for when these HDDs are highly unstable.
It is necessary to read again those "empty fake sectors" with more stable DE configuration.
I don't know if PC-3000 offers a different solution, but using MRT, this is the only method i've found for these situations.
Perhaps someone who uses PC-3000 knows some another tricks that the tool can offer?
