Further to that, you will need are T5, T6, & T8 frequently...and others infrequently.

If i'm not mistaking this is a wd usb drive. If its only the upper platter that is scratched we could still do a partial recovery with the other layers.
Would give you around 70% of the data (no big files like movies however).
