Dear Friends in the net. is there any body have experience with board replacement? let say we have A. pcb poker and HDA poker then B. pcb calypso and HDA calypso. if we interchange the board and in terchange the SA file is it work? in no why? in the market so many case is interchange but still work? is it also depend on the preamp? Dear Sharon, It depends on more things! Almost all the pcb have some built-in data about the HDA, like preamp, heads, BIAS values, adaptive data to load the SA from the disk. If you replace one pcb and it is working, this can be a short period too, and the drive can dead soon.... (Of course you have a change to match all the important points, and the drive will have a long life. Janos |
