I have a Seagate HDD ST350062AS

Pn: 9BX144-021
fw: HP12

The drive sounds like correct calibration but it isn't recognized by the BIOS.

When I conect the drive through PC3000 the terminal shows me the mssage Probably "HDD Lock (LED: 000000CC)"


Then I run the solution "HDD Lock (LED: 000000CC)" and the Model appears at terminal but the cpacity not, the test stops before it's end, here's the log:





Any Advice?

After reconnect disk to PC3000, they shows it's probably Traslation Violation (Ogb) error. That's the same issue that resolves the tutorial you says.

But when I try to execute Traslation Violation solution, it fails. PC3000 shows errors with the conection to terminal

I can't execute comands manually cause terminal doesn't connect.

if you have Licenced PC3000 UDMA. PM me I will tell you how to solve it.

UDMA will not solve this specific HDD. There is an update available in the 1st or 2nd week of march which has full support for this fw revision, and will be able to repair.
There may be a possibility to solve using terminal alone, but the automated solution in the F3 utility will not repair this.

this HDD requires shorting of specific points on PCB to disable initialisation from SA and will initialise from ROM and give terminal access.

Anybody done a 7200.11 with this method yet?

Yes hddguy is right, this is unsupported firmware.
I've had one similar case. Still pending...

Not particularly related to 0gb problem, but the one HP12 firmware drive I've had come through had a nasty problem where any time the drive attempted to access a bad sector it would produce an abort error on any subsequent operation until power cycled.

I've not done a HP12 specifically, but have done a HP24.

The problem is that when you "sleep" the drive, you get a "LED000000CE error" and terminal access stops.

I did find a way round it.

Just unlocked drive HP12 using this method. Use Windows HyperTerminal and PC-USB terminal from PC3K (couldn't make PC3K to work with it for some reason) and follow instructions. If you cannot get connections you have to short points on R/W channel on PCB (as in new manual for F3 Arch).

Recently I have received several Seagate 7200.11 with propietary firmwares DE12 (Dell), HPxx (HP), LCxx (Lacie).

I have been able to fix some of this HDD's but not with the same method. I have used theadvices of pcimage with success in HP12 (thanks a lot, pcimage). In another disks HP24 the solution of PC3000 F3 utility works, but not in all disks (shortcut of the read channel works in some disks and in others just disconnect the PCB completly and not only the motor pins)

Finally I get to fix the 90% of the F3 aarchitectura disks, but... already Idon't what is the bet nthod for each firmware!!

a have the same problem, with locked terminal, i think the f/w is damaged, and a looking for solution how to repair it..

First the hard disk spins but does not get detected in the bios not in windows and i tried the 0LBA one but no did not get the hard drive back so i was thinking if i would replace the head of the hard drive will it work and when i put my ear to the drive i get a druuk druuk sound

this is why information is given reluctantly. Knowling the solution will not get your data back. Understanding the solution and exactly how it works may get your data back. Unfortunately in your case, you now have a 7200.11 with SA damage, and head failure. Totally unnessecary head change, and if data is valuable to you and you need professional assistance you have just doubled (at least) the DR charges.

This is the exact reason why common responses here are to consult a pro - amateur DIY almost never pays off.
