Dear all,

I have tried to save the LDR from my Seagate 7200 Barracuda.

However, from the log, when it came to the point where it starts reading the App code, it initialise Safe Mode, then Switch HDD power supply OFF, Switching power supply ON, and it halts there without any progress. I have left it at that state for a very long time and it didn't seem to progress any further.

I was left with no choice but to interrupt the operation and the log file is as follows.

Switching into Safe mode................ : Error
Terminated by user
App code reading........................ : Error

Result.................................. : Error

Terminal : reply timeout error

Any ideas why is this happening, please?

regards,
Cornelius

Have you got the terminal adapter connected and configured correctly?

Dear CK,

Yes. My connection setup is with the PC USB TERMINAL board and the PC-3000 Adapter PC PATA-SATA board.

Any ideas?

regards,
Cornelius

Yes.

Please post a screenshoot of what you get in Seagate Log Window when you enter utility.

What is the original fault with the Seagate? Also, have you verified the terminal against a working seagate to verifiy the connection and settings are correct?

What is the model of the seagate? Could it be 7200.7 series?
