I have a hard disk samsung HM250JI 2.5" SATA (MANGO).
when I connect to the PC-3000 sounds it rr..rr..rr..rr by 20 or 40 seconds and it shows to state ready DSC BSY. The disc is recognized correctly (capacity, model, firmware).
In Data Extractor it shows partition to me NTFS but When it tries to show to the folders and archives, it returns to sound rr. .rr. .rr and the hard disk POWER OFF. When finds a sector bad begins to sound rr..rr.. and it always power off, it does not jump it. That I must make to recover the data in this case? I can make an image of the hard disk, I do since it?
help me.
Best regards,
Carlos

test heads. Sounds like a failed head. Build head map, clone using working head then replace head.

It seems I have the same problem with the same HDD
Can you please help me to find the way how to proceed with cloning the head (via linux or windows) as suggested earlier by HDD Spaz
some of terminal outputs

Unfortunately it is not possible to clone a drive by head in Linux or Windows. Only can do so with advanced data recovery tool. And if you indeed have the same problem and you care about the data, you should not try to clone the drive in Linux or Windows. It will definitely decrease chances of recovery tremendously.

You can't.
The only tool I know of that can clone Samsung by head is PC3K with Data Extractor, Deepspar and Atola cannot.

also everytime you power on the drive you put the platter assigned to the damaged head into danger . If data are important change heads then image.
