Can you not recreate from SA modules?

This drive will not spin up because i'm suspecting a pcb/rom failure. I have a donor pcb from a different family that will spin the drive but I need the correct rom so that I can disable heads as the drive is clicking. It looks like this drive has 2 problems so far, dead pcb and probably dead heads. A rom with correct head map would be very handy for this job.

I think that will be difficult as you would need to match the version, which if you can't see the modules to get the correct version number will be shooting in the dark...

Yes its going to be difficult. Having 2 separate problems makes it more fun right? My strategy is to get a working ROM then I can diagnose why heads are clicking. Fix the clicking and regen the ROM. Customer gets data back and I earn my income. :) :)

ROM anyone?
