Hi Gurus,
I have a WDC WD1600BB-00RDA0 with FW problems. SA surface verification gave out the bad error on cly: -1, -8, -9 and -10 and on both heads. Those correspond to Translator (Module 32), SMART (22), SMART (21), and G-List (34) respectively. I am new on PC3000 UDMA and I would appreciate your suggestions on the next steps for data recovery. Thanks.

U can get support from ACE or deepspar whicever you bought your tools. Ask them first.

Thanks, Pepe. I figured out and fixed the translator and got the data out.
