 Post subject: Toshiba 1.8" ZIF drives with firmware problems.. NEED HELP

Hello

I have a lot of Toshiba 1.8" drives with same kind of firmware problem.

I have models like MK8010GAH, MK1231GAL, MK8022GAA.

With all of this drives i have the same strange problem. I connect the drive to pc3000 and the drive is detected and recognize the parameters like you see in this photo.

I can give the order to remove the password but wen i order to clear the smart they give me this error.

Wen i try to reed the sectors they give me error in all sectors, i just can“t read. But i can write the in the drive whit no problem.

Any one already have this problem with this kind of drives? I need a help to understand what i can do do put the drive in a normal condition.

All gonna wait for your help.

Reseting SMART on tosh drives does not always work. There are two things to check before working with SMART..

1. check that SMART is supported for the drive and then
2. Make sure that SMART is turned on !
