pcb is not correct and original

i tested this model hdd with other pcb and rom in this family

and then 2>U , 1>N1

and terminal hang on

are you test sn hdd in terminal?

Hi, I have a CC37 firmware, 7200.12 500GB.. HDD not getting detected in BIOS. tried to fix it with BSY fix method but no go... first i get : Rst 0x10M
SIM Error 1002
SIM Error 1002
No HOST FIS-ReadyStatusFlags 2002A1A5

but then afetr ctrl+z i get the F3 T>
can do a spin down U & spin up with no errors Z, but when i send the F3 1>N1 command it starts throwing up the error: Failed to load overlay 00000005 LED:000000CC FAddr:00289581& keeps repeating the same thing. For :
F3 T>m0,2,2,0,0,0,0,22

DiagError 0000500E Process Defect List Error
R/W Sense 00000002, R/W Error 841C0087, List Offset 00000000, List Index 0025633
B, File Error 000000D0
any other coonad i put in it again gives me Failed to load overlay 00000005 error...
Kindly let me me know if there is a way to fix my HDD. I need the data inside it. PLEASE HELP...

Seek pro service on this one, before you destroy it completely.

you need knowledge and tools to solve this and thats not going to happen instantly in a few posts. thats why a few members have encouraged you to seek professional help. good luck i hope a pro can help you because it sounds like its going to be a tough case and something that you have probably contributed too.

@Zero Alpha : hey mate.. i had been to a pro & its gonna cost me a fortune to get the data so i was hopin if u guys can guide me... have been followin ur posts & u guys are pro's & have ample amount of knowledge on HDD's... i'm using a DKU-5 as a TTL & followed the instructions gradius had posted for the bsy fix... & posted the o/p... i would surely wanna learn if u guys can spare a lil time & guide me...

I just successfully repaired one of these drives. What I did was this...

First I removed the PCB and issued the spin down command /2 then Z
Then I put the PCB back onto the drive and spun it up "U"
I then cleared the G-List with the m0,2,2,0,0,0,0,22 command
The drive came ready then I cleared the SMART with the N1 command. The drive now works fine.

"m0,2,2,0,0,0,0,22" doesn't clear the G-List.

In any case that wouldn't help a drive load it's firmware overlays.

My bad, translator rebuild. That did fix this problem.

Hi Elish,

Just try what I stated in my previous post about removing the PCB etc. Translator rebuilt is the "m0,2,2,0,0,0,0,22" command.

digitalrecoveryNZ - (your diagnosis is bad!! and this means you are wrong)

a. your patient was probably not same as elish.
b. your problem was CERTAINLY not the same as elish.

So you give elish a solution to repair a broken heart when elish has a broken leg.
