i have this drive with security locked it is belongs to Momentus 7200.3 F3 Arch Family is there any way to remove security i contact Ace they told new version UDMA will support this Drive any one had solved this issue before ,

Model : ST980411ASG

F/w : DE14.

did you try with seagate doctor or seagate f-level repair

yes you are right you are in pc3000 support but easy to fix from other tools..

I believe F-Level repair is a option in Salvation DAta's Sagate Doctor. Possibly a button that does absolutely nothing.

Maybe is a way of advertising for SD.....

I ask because the security module is in different locations on the different families. If SD actually intelligently locates it regardless of the position then I'm surprised at them for doing something right
