Unfortunately due to the terms and conditions of the agreement, we have now been advised that the card cannot be resold, so we will be destroying the card.

Something tells me its not a legit card, because no one would want to destroy such an expensive piece of material.

This is an absurd policy of preventing ACE can sell the PC3000 UDMA ever think I buy a car and the car manufacturer keeps me from selling my car. I think that ACE has reviewed much of its policy to customers despite having excellent products treat their customers like prisoners, and even worse have to ask permission to sell and see if they will still give permission.

@harddrivespecialist

Your statement is incorrect. The card is legit. You can confirm this with ACE Laboratory, RU. Yes we spent a significant amount of money on the card, but we no longer do data salvage work and do not use the card anymore. The terms and conditions state that you must "destroy all SHC components at your disposal using methods preventing their further usage".

Have you read your license conditions???

surely your business still uses computers/hard drives etc. What if your disk develops a fault? Surely it is benficial to have a pc3000 on standby instead of throwing it out. Total nonsense.

agree with spaz. Seems strange to just dump something that is still supported and can still help. There must be more to it than meets the eye

No point in having technology lying around for the sake of it. Anyway, why would you go through the laborious process of disk recovery when there is a backup or disk snapshot on other spindles!

YOUR STATEMENT IS WRONG, anyway as an "expert" what facts are you basing your opinion on? The card was purchased direct from ACE Laboratory, but is no longer needed or required.

Do Not Post Malicious Rumours that are untrue :twisted:
