no power, and the adapter (connected to the drive) is upside down. Those are the two things |

Hi, First make sure the settings in HT are correct (38000,n,8,1). Second make sure "echo" is off in HT so you do not see your own typing unless it is being echoed from the drive. Next jumper the TX and RX lines on the PCB header that plugs into the drive you should see your key strokes echoed. If this works your hardware is good. Then try the drive again again. If it fails after that try a different drive. Hope this helps |

Yes drive power would be good. And who builds (uses) a connector without the polarization tab ???? Come on people don't we care ??? |

Just use HT if USB serial is a COM and you want to verify hardware. |

Yes you need power and connect right way up. Is it a genuine pc3000? because it is explained in your manual. |

One more thing if its not one of the newer drives you need to set baud rate 9600. |

Cleanroom Bingooo this is the one, believe it or not its been like 2 weeks and am suffering with acelab support, i swear none gave me the direct answer thnx Cleanroom for ur help really and all the others as well... |

ACELAB's support fails, when you use email. Ask them via Skype. Acelaboratory.support - Tech support for international customers. aceelena - billing and sales. There are others, but these are the general ones. |

thnx granaryloaf for the details here and as i said the ace support did not notice this because i sent the same photos to them and did not get the proper answer but i found it here. thnx all for ur help again and again |
