What do you want, a full dump of the FW? You realize they're all different, right?

You need to be more specific with what you want. Not all firmware can be interchanged/replaced, and much of the firmware is at least specific to a frmware revision.

Using the wrong firmware can have bad consequences and irrepairable results.

You have UDMA? If so there should be at least ROM version in your log.

erm can you not read the ROM even in Kernel mode?

I think he has SD WD Doctor and it is not possible to do this in Kernel mode on this tool. It is possible to read the ROM but SD does not support Kernal mode or at least I can not make it work on this tool. If his drive is ready and stops spinning in SD tool he can go to the file and open this and after go to rom and read the rom from there. That is only way I have found it works on this tool. I can not put the pcb in safe mode on this tool so far and make it work for me.

Guess what he is looking for is a FW back up from another drive done on SD WD Doctor. This way he can have the mod, tks, rom for him on this one.
