Greetings all,
I have a need for the firmware from the following WD Pinclite drive: WD3200AAJS-22L7A0. Because there are some corrupt adaptives, the ideal firmware I am after is 000500E0. Any help is appreciated.
Steve

Checked but don't have it.

As an aside, I would not recommend overwriting modules on your bad drive with anything other than what you KNOW is exactly the same as what it has on there already. Especially not adaptives modules.

Sorry, closest I have is 500EQ.

Which adaptives are bad? Maybe the bad modules can be rebuilt from alternative donor depending on what they are.

You can determine FW version from SN ?

Thanks for the replies all. If it helps, the serial number is WMAV25440320. The drive build date is 12 APR 2009.

hddguy and drc- The situation is kind of ugly. Unable to read/write by ABA, so I couldn't manually edit or read anything. Both copies of modules 3, 41, 42, 43, 49 were corrupted. I thought I had the same firmware when I overwrote. It turns out I did not. The Deepspar folks seem pretty confident that identical firmware has a good shot of working, as they guided me to overwrite in the first place.

Einstein9- Those 3 are of interest to me, especially if the firmware is the same.

I got a little sidetracked when I see einstein asking for the SN, but spoke with him and realise it is simply how his FW collections are organised :)

@bytesback - all mods you list as bad consist of adaptive modules and Zone table. Im not so sure if replacing all of these will help much. Can you read SA tracks?

You have UDMA, right? Do you not use the database?

1st. when i started using the udma i used to backup resources outside not inside DB

only from last month i started both just in case

working with DB is better/faster on finding/repairing

but, doesn`t matter, everybody pays his school fee`s,,,

and i paid my fees already
learned from my mistakes and thnx to Fabio really who told me about that

@hddguy,
I read and backed up what SA tracks I could, but of the 170 tracks I think more than 100 errored out and did not write.

I can only go by what deepspar told me, which is that the 4x modules can be overwritten by drives with the same firmware. I trust Yarek, he's a helpful guy.

Actually, since I have nothing to lose, would you mind posting the 500EQ firmware? It's a lot closer than I've found elsewhere. 100CS was what I had tried that didn't work.

Steve,

I forget, are you using PC3K (I would assume so, since you're talking to Deepspar)? Or something else?

You assume correctly. I am using PC3K.

You have already replaced these modules with mods from different FW revision?

I will upload the 500EQ as soon as I can get to the machine, maybe a hour or so.

hddguy,
I hate to say that I did, but... I did. Those modules have already been replaced from a different firmware. Nothing to lose at this point. I appreciate the help.

Without the firmware version, I can only guess, so if you are willing, I'd like to try numbers 4, 10, 11 and 12, 13, 14. Beggars can't be choosers, so I'll take whatever you are willing to give me. I appreciate the help.
