Dear Users,

Please help me.

I have just received a PC3000 kit and I am trying to fix above drive. It is recognised by BIOS and Windows but I am not able to access any data. I get a message from Windows: drive is not accessible, format it.
Samsung testing software did not find ant problems - all tests passed ok.

PC3K marked only one module as RED:

Module61 REF TMR: Read sector error:c=0, s=0, h=27; Device Error Detected: 51/01 AMN)

with D importance.

Also in terminal I get a message HErr! 1301, but when I hit enter, it jumps to ENG>

At the moment I am cloning the drive to the backup drive but I believe there is an quicker way to get the data and fix the issue as it takes a bit of time to clone the drive.
Please advice me.

regards
Martin

Martin, You are in data recovery business or is it just a name you are using?

Yes I am in the business, but as I mentioned I am new to PC3000 UDMA kit. The ACE forum is very quiet and support is off to day, so I decided to post my problem here.

Regards
Martin

Martin if you are in DR and you see this one it is a given you should be able to fix it with cloning your HDD. Then working from the clone to get off data on it. The UDMA is not a magic tool and can not do this one for you. Seems there is no HW problems but looks like some logical ones on this. Do some more research and reading and go from there on this. You should have other tools to be able to handle this problem for you. UDMA is for physical HW and Module problems in SA. Flor logical problems there is other tools to use on this one. If what you are saying holds true that Windows see this HDD and is asking you to format it then now you find your answer. There is no physical problems in this HDD but some logical ones that need to be addressesd so you can get off data on it
