sorry for 2 consecutive posts the previous was incomplete due to connection problems :
...continue...
... seems that either you got a suggestion or took the initiative by reading "stuff" on the internet.
Facts and consequences :
1) drive not being detected is a consequence of "something" , the cause can be multiple with same symptom.
2) SMART INIT FAILURE should have been a loud alarm...
3) Why go on with m0 command ? The fact it ended regularly didn't mean the problem was solved, in fact...
4) ... data was still not correctly accessible (no wonder as the problem was elsewhere right from the start, correct diagnose missing).
5) You'll soon discover that data after scandisk and "regeneration" (?) will be missing or badly garbled.
6) On the other drives, if the procedure was the same without a diagnose, the "regeneration" (?) will not work as the problem (due to the symptom) is another.
7) Little question : do you know what
exactly m0 command does ?

And last but not least... were the drives to be REUSED or did you need data from them ?
