A newbie at hdd recovery and I've encountered a burn spindle motor chip. Just want to know if I can still recover files from this kind of damaged pcb? Someone gave me an idea of changing platters and to tell you honestly it looks harder than I imagined with no experience at this kind of problem, would this be the right thing to do? If this is the right one can anyone share a guide in changing platters. Thanks so much.

Why would you try to change the platters if your problem is that the PCB is burned?

Good day,
I got that changing platter idea from a tech support, which he says if the worst case scenario if after all changing burn parts and still if it is still not working. Anyway, customer get bored and took off his hard drive after we failed to find a donor hdd. Thanks
